Siamo nel 1956 Matrimonio di Grace Kelly col Principe Ranieri III di Monaco
Il suo abito è stato realizzato da Helen Rose, dietro alla sua creazione troviamo un team formidabile, pensate 30 sarte che lavorano per 6 settimane per creare quest’abito così elegante.
Infatti era formato da 10 diverse parti unite pezzo per pezzo. Gonna color avorio con 3 sottovesti. La parte inferiore era separata del corpetto; esso era realizzato con pizzo e fiocco. Le maniche e la parte alta del busto richiamavano l’effetto della trasparenza, perciò fu scelto un velo molto semplice per poter esaltare la bellezza del suo viso.
La Principessa non ha usato una tiara, ma un copricapo impreziosito da gioielli e fiori d’arancio. Il Bouquet? Credo il più singolare e particolare che io abbia mai visto: una bibbia rivestita da pizzo con fiori d’arancio e mughetti. Per il trucco e l’acconciatura fu scelto qualcosa di molto semplice. Nel tempo il suo look venne scelto da moltissime ragazze.
Facciamo un salto avanti di 25 anni
siamo nel 1981 Matrimonio di Diana Spencer col Principe Carlo d’Inghilterra
L’abito della Principessa fu creato dagli Emmanuels( giovane coppia di stilisti che avevano già creato abiti per lei). Erano conosciuti per il loro stile romantico, ricco di balze e lustrini. Venne scelta per la realizzazione un taffetà color avorio per dare un tocco vintage all’abito. Non ci crederete, ma per il sotto gonna furono necessari 90 metri di tulle e 140 metri per il velo! Per non parlare delle perle e pailettes usate 10 mila.
Ma la cosa che ha reso immortale quest’abito fu lo strascico lungo ben 7 metri e 62 centimetri, il più lungo di tutta la storia dei matrimoni reali.
Le scarpe sono state create da Clive Shilton commissionate direttamente dalla Principessa con la richiesta specifica che fossero basse. Fu messo un particolare molto romantico: nella suola erano impresse le iniziali degli sposi con al centro un cuore.

The dress of the Princess was created by Emmanuels( a young couple of designers who had already created clothes for her). They were known for their romantic style, full of flounces and sequins.
An ivory taffeta was chosen to give a vintage touch to the dress. You won’t believe it, but for the underskirt it took 90 meters of tulle and 140 meters for the veil! Not to mention the pearls and pailettes used 10 thousand.
But the thing that made this dress immortal was the seven-foot, 62-inch train train, the longest in the history of royal weddings.
The shoes were created by Clive Shilton commissioned directly by the Princess with the specific request that they were low.
A very romantic detail was put: in the sole were engraved the initials of the bride and groom with a heart in the center.
