Alessia Carissime, eccoci nuovamente assieme!!! E’ giunto il momento di scegliere la location per il ricevimento. Tenete presente che essa è la scena nella quale rappresenterete le vostre nozze!!! Infatti il ricevimento è una parte importante, un momento per condividere la vostra gioia con amici e parenti. Sarà il luogo dove trascorrerete gran parte della giornata.
Ma procediamo con ordine…
come già detto, cercate una location che sia abbastanza vicina a dove avete celebrato la cerimonia per evitare km e km agli invitati, ma in caso contrario assieme alle partecipazioni inserite anche una simpatica mappa con il percorso più semplice per arrivare alla location.
Quando iniziate le ricerche, ricordatevi che stile di matrimonio volete. Se per esempio volete sentirvi come una principessa la ricerca si concentrerà su castelli o ville d’epoca, di certo un agriturismo, seppur stupendo non potrà rispecchiare le caratteristiche del vostro matrimonio.
Tenete presente 3 fattori mentre effettuate le ricerche:
– Il budget (che sarà quello più elevato rispetto al resto)
– Il numero degli invitati (se non avete ancora idea di quanti invitati volete, segliete quei posti dove non hanno problemi se aggiungete qualche invitato verso le ultime settimame che precedono il grande giorno)
– Una location che possa avere un piano B.
Se volete farvi qualche idea di quello che avete nelle vostre vicinanze (se non avete una wedding planner che vi segue) potete curiosare nei seguenti siti (per quanto riguarda l’Italia): matrimonio.com e tripadvisor.com ; dove troverete prezzi, capienza e recensioni delle varie strutture presenti.
Stando alla situazione attuale vi consiglio quelle location che possano garantire le nuove norme di sicurezza e che abbiano un bel giardino o un porticato.
Solitamente gli spazi necessari in un matrimonio tradizionale sono sostanzialmente 3:
– l’area dedicata all’aperitivo (ma nulla vieta che possa essere ripresa per il taglio della torta)
– la sala per il banchetto
– la zona del dopo cena con l’ area ballo e l’open bar.
Se per caso avete scelto un castello, una villa o comunque una location grande, chiedete sempre se oltre alla vostra cerimonia, ci saranno anche altri eventi durante quella giornata, per capire se avete a disposizione tutti gli spazi o meno.
Nel caso ci sia un’altra cerimonia cercate di ricavare la vostra privacy negli spazi che il gestore ha riservato per voi.
Se vi sposate alla mattina e avete scelto un ristorante, chiedete sempre gli orari. Perchè vi dico questo?
Perchè dove lavoravo come cameriera di sala, il titolare del ristorante avvisava sempre gli sposi che dovevano lasciare la struttura per le 18.30 per via che noi dovevamo preparare per la cena.
Domandate se potete provvedere all’allestimento o con la vostra wedding planner o con la vostra fiorista, o se lo fanno loro.
Tenete presente anche la stagione in cui vi sposate; se è in inverno, cercate quelle location che trasmettano anche quella sensazione di calore quando entrate.
Ricordatevi delle esigenze dei vari ospiti, in modo da farli sentire importanti per voi; se sapete che ci sono persone con la sedia a rotelle o mamme con passeggino, cercate una struttura che abbia una pedana per facilitare il loro ingresso e ovviamente i bambini con un servizio dedicato a loro.

In fact, the reception is an important part, a moment to share your joy with friends and relatives. It will be the place where you will spend most of the day.
But let’s proceed in order …
As already mentioned, look for a location that is close enough to where you celebrated the ceremony to avoid miles and miles to the guests, but otherwise, along with the invitations, also insert a nice map with the easiest route to get to the location.
When you start your research, remember what wedding style you want. For example, if you want to feel like a princess, the search will focus on castles or period villas, certainly a farmhouse, even if beautiful, will not be able to reflect the characteristics of your wedding.
Keep 3 factors in mind as you search:
– The budget (which will be higher than the rest)
– The number of guests (if you still have no idea how many guests you want, choose those places where they have no problems if you add some guests towards the last weeks preceding the big day)
– A location that may have a plan B.
If you want to get some idea of what you have in your vicinity (if you don’t have a wedding planner who follows you) you can browse the following sites (as regards Italy): matrimonio.com and tripadvisor.com; where you will find prices, capacities and reviews of the various structures present.
According to the current situation, I recommend those locations that can guarantee the new safety regulations and that have a beautiful garden or a porch.
Usually the spaces needed in a traditional wedding are basically 3:
– The area dedicated to the aperitif (but nothing prevents it from being resumed for cutting the cake)
– The banquet hall
– The after dinner area with the dance area and the open bar.
If by chance you have chosen a castle, a villa or in any case a large location, always ask if in addition to your ceremony, there will also be other events during that day, to understand if you have all the spaces available or not.
In case there is another ceremony try to get your privacy in the space that the manager has reserved for you.
If you get married in the morning and have chosen a restaurant, always ask for the times. Why am I telling you this?
Because where I worked as a waitress, the owner of the restaurant always warned the couple that they had to leave the structure by 6.30 pm because we had to prepare for dinner.
Ask if you can arrange the setting either with your wedding planner or with your florist or if they do it.
Keep in mind the season in which you get married; if it is in the invrno, look for those locations that also convey that feeling of warmth when you enter.
Remember the needs of the various guests, in order to make them feel important to you; if you know that there are people with wheelchairs or mothers with strollers, look for a structure that has a platform to facilitate their entry and obviously children with a service dedicated to them.
