Alessia Buona sera a tutti, scusatemi per l’ora ma questa mattina ho dovuto portare con urgenza il mio cane dal veterinario ed oggi avevo il corso di taglio e cucito.
Allora questa sera parliamo di? Delle bellissime fedi nuziali! Esse sono l’emblema del matrimonio, oltre ad essere protagoniste del vostro “SI”, le fedi resteranno sulle vostre mani per il resto della vostra vita ed è giusto dedicare loro il tempo giusto per scegliere quelle giuste. Ma lo sapevate che le fedi hanno una storia antichissima e da dove deriva il loro nome? l termine “fede”, dal latino “fides”, vuol dire fedeltà. Fides era anche il nome della dea romana personificazione della lealtà. le prime fedi che incontriamo nella storia risalgono all’epoca faraonica quando gli egizi iniziarono a creare gioielli per dare loro significati religiosi e magici. La forma cilindrica è la forma perfetta, senza inizio e senza fine e per questo rappresentava l’unione e l’amore che non finisce mai. E poi come vi avevo già detto furono gli egizi a sostenere che nell’anulare sinistro passasse la vena dell’amore.
Anche nell’Antica Cina si utilizzavano le fedi. Ogni dito rappresentava un pilastro della vita. Il pollice era collegato ai genitori. L’indice rappresentava i fratelli. Il medio rappresentava se stessi. L’anulare, il dito delle fedi, rappresentava la coppia e il mignolo i figli.
Fino all’860 dC i cristiani non utilizzavano gli anelli nelle loro cerimonie. Quando li introdussero, non erano anelli semplici come quelli che conosciamo oggi, anzi, erano anelli molto decorati, con colombe, mani intrecciate, disegni. La Chiesa finì per considerarli simboli pagani e, verso il tredicesimo secolo, le fedi si semplificarono in forma e disegno. Ma vediamo di che materiale sono fatte; tutti noi le conosciamo di colore oro nelle varianti del giallo e del bianco (come le mie) e circa nel 2017 ha fatto il suo ingresso anche l’oro rosa che incontra i gusti di quelle spose romantiche e sofisticate. Se volete una cosa ancora più preziosa potere optare per il platino. Ovviamente possono essere di un solo colore oppure in oro giallo e oro bianco abbinati tra loro ma trattato in modo diverso( lucido ed opaco). La tradizione vuole che le fedi siano identiche tra loro ( francesina o mantovana), che per i materiali. Oggi però gli sposi possono anche decidere di fare due fedi diverse, quella della sposa potrebbe essere più sottile e magari con brillantini o diamanti incastonati, mentre solitamente lo sposo preferisce una fede classica. E’ con l’epoca rinascimentale che si inizia a fare le incisioni sugli anelli nella parte interna e la tradizione vuole che ci siano i nomi degli sposi e la data di matrimonio, ma negli ultimi anni è di moda per quelle coppie che invece desiderano delle fedi molto particolari, di fare delle decorazioni nella parte superiore della fede. Ma se invece volete osare un pochino, potete scegliere delle fedi a forma di cuore, intrecciate o con il simbolo dell’infinito. Ma chi deve acquistare le fedi? La tradizione vorrebbe che fossero i testimoni a regalarle, ma ultimamente se ne occupano direttamente gli sposi.
