Solitamente quando si sceglie il periodo in cui sposarsi, si pensa sempre alla bella stagione o al massimo le prime settimane autunnali che possono ancora regalare delle bellissime giornate, anche se corte. Scegliere la stagione invernale per il proprio ricevimento di nozze ,i colori e le atmosfere del periodo più freddo, possono rivelarsi molto affascinanti e se vogliamo anche molto romantico. Pensate ai colori della natura, al tepore di un camino acceso, ai giochi di luci e candele, un’atmosfera molto intima e suggestiva.
Tra l’altro, sposarsi in inverno, tra dicembre e febbraio, può rivelarsi molto interessante per la maggior disponibilità delle location. Per un matrimonio invernale la scelta giusta della location è molto importante. Dovrà necessariamente avere vari spazi interni, per potere permettere di svolgere tutto ciò che si vuole, senza sentirsi stretti. Ponete attenzione all’impianto di riscaldamento: non tutte le location ne dispongono di efficienti, soprattutto quelle d’epoca, che non potrebbero garantire una temperatura confortevole nel vostro grande giorno. Evitate le location, che potrebbero essere difficili da raggiungere in caso di neve, o maltempo. La scelta di sposarsi in inverno solitamente avviene per motivi ben precisi: si ama la stagione in se, per tutta l’atmosfera data dal periodo natalizio o perché non volete aspettare ancora per sposarvi.
Vediamo un pochino quali sono gli aspetti positivi di sposarsi in inverno:
Costa meno: è un dato di fatto che risponde alla legge della domanda e dell’offerta: essendoci meno spose che scelgono di sposarsi in inverno, tutti i fornitori e persino le location hanno generalmente prezzi molto più bassi.
E’ più facile da organizzare: tutte le persone normalmente coinvolte nell’allestimento di un matrimonio sono più libere perché devono gestire meno eventi. Questo per te significa: più attenzione ai dettagli del tuo matrimonio.
Puoi sfruttare le decorazioni natalizie in strada o nella location stessa: renderanno le foto del matrimonio ancora più suggestive.
Non importa il tempo e le temperature (imprevedibili in primavera e autunno e spesso fastidiosi in estate): Che piova o nevichi sul mondo intero! Tu e i tuoi invitati sarete comunque al sicuro in un salone ben riscaldato.
Si aprono infinite possibilità per il tuo viaggio di nozze: molte mete esotiche, infatti, vivono la loro migliore stagione quando da noi è inverno. Alcuni esempi? Dicembre, gennaio e febbraio sono i migliori mesi dell’anno per andare ad Antigua e Barbuda, così come per una luna di miele al sole delle Bahamas, di Cuba o della Giamaica; e se non pensavi di andare ai Tropici per il tuo viaggio di nozze, nessun problema: ci sono molte altre interessanti zone in tutto il mondo che sono consigliabili proprio in questo periodo: Dubai e Abu Dhabi, l’Asia in generale, la Nuova Zelanda e l’Australia.
Infine, un matrimonio invernale è, senza alcun ombra di dubbio, molto più originale di uno estivo.
Ma cosa dovranno indossare gli sposi che scelgono questo periodo? La sposa invernale è sicuramente una sposa romantica il cui abito è lungo e dalla linea tendenzialmente strutturata; sì agli abiti dall’ampio volume, con maniche lunghe o a tre quarti o in alternativa se si vuole osare di più, meglio affidarsi a un delicato pizzo trasparente che copra con raffinata eleganza le braccia e le spalle. Sì anche ad ampi e morbidi cappotti, boleri, stole o mantelle in pelliccia ecologica o lana. Per quanto riguarda invece il nostro sposo sicuramente nel caso dell’abito classico si resta su una tonalità di colore tra il grigio scuro e il nero: la stagione fredda predilige le tinte più seriose. Per quanto riguarda la camicia, anche per le nozze invernali in febbraio, sempre meglio optare per il taglio classico, nelle sfumature chiare del crema o del bianco.
Il bouquet della sposa invernale avrà come protagonista un fiore di stagione; si può pensare ad un bouquet in total white con tulipani e bucaneve, passando in alternativa ad un bouquet in stile natalizio con l’inserimento di dettagli quali pigne e bacche, che troviamo in diversi colori. Per i più classici il semplice bouquet con rose bianche o rosse.
Se pensiamo a quale potrebbe essere il filo conduttore di questo matrimonio possiamo giocare con diversi colori che sono particolarmente adatti alla stagione invernale: dalle tonalità fredde quali il bianco (simbolo di purezza), azzurro e indaco, ad un bianco ottico in contrasto con una tonalità forte quale il blue notte, o a colori caldi quali il verde, il rosso, il porpora e l’oro, particolarmente indicati per il periodo natalizio.
E gli altri elementi come potrebbero essere organizzati? Vediamoli assieme!
Possiamo pensare ad uno stile rustico che richiami la montagna elemento che caratterizza la stagione invernale o ad uno stile vintage per i più classici, oppure dettagli e decori quali fiocchi di neve o rametti di bacche che richiamino il Natale. Come bomboniere possiamo pensare a delle piantine grasse, a vasetti di miele artigianale, o bottiglie in vetro trasparente con liquore, ma anche a delle confezioni artigianali di macarons, oppure bottiglie di champagne personalizzate! Passiamo ora alla confettata con vasi in vetro di diverse dimensioni, specchi, giochi di luci e candele, composizioni floreali e nel periodo natalizio completare l’allestimento con dettagli quali rametti di pino, bacche e pigne. Per i confetti possiamo scegliere diversi gusti in tonalità total white o in diverse tonalità di colore come avorio, porpora, verde, marrone che richiamino appunto il Natale. Anche per la mise en place possiamo trovare alternative diverse: dalla classica a quella vintage con bicchieri e sottopiatti in vetro lavorato, molto ricercata e indicata soprattutto nel periodo natalizio. Per quanto riguarda il tovagliato vi propongo una tonalità di colore avorio. Come idea per i centrotavola si possono creare giochi con specchi, candele, candelabri, o in alternativa abbinare anche piccoli vasi di diverse dimensioni sempre in stile vintage con composizioni floreali. Nel periodo natalizio si possono anche creare centrotavola, o segnaposto, dove è il legno ad essere il protagonista.
Anche le altre sale o l’eventuale parco esterno possono essere allestite con coreografie di candele, lanterne e giochi di luci, sfruttando le minori ore di luce, per avere un effetto molto suggestivo. E terminiamo con un’altra regina di questa giornata: la Wedding cake, preferibilmente su più piani, in total White, decorata con del nastro in velluto dalla tonalità forte, che richiami il fil rouge scelto, oppure arricchita con dettagli quali pigne, bacche, fragoline di bosco. Possiamo infine rendere il nostro taglio torta davvero indimenticabile pensando ad un allestimento nell’eventuale parco esterno, con effetti scenografici quali fuochi d’artificio, candele e lanterne e per i più romantici qualche fiocco di neve come cornice perfetta per questo momento.

Choosing the winter season for your wedding reception, the colors and atmospheres of the coldest period, can be very fascinating and if we want also very romantic. Think of the colors of nature, the warmth of a lit fireplace, the play of lights and candles, a very intimate and suggestive atmosphere. Among other things, getting married in winter, between December and February, can be very interesting due to the greater availability of locations. For a winter wedding the right choice of location is very important. It will necessarily have to have various internal spaces, in order to allow you to do everything you want, without feeling cramped. Pay attention to the heating system: not all locations have efficient ones, especially the vintage ones, which could not guarantee a comfortable temperature on your big day. Avoid locations, which may be difficult to reach in case of snow or bad weather.
The choice to get married in winter usually takes place for very specific reasons: you love the season itself, for all the atmosphere given by the Christmas period or because you don’t want to wait any longer to get married. Let’s see a little what are the positive aspects of getting married in winter: It costs less: it is a fact that responds to the law of supply and demand: since there are fewer brides who choose to get married in winter, all suppliers and even locations generally have much lower prices. It is easier to organize: all the people normally involved in setting up a wedding are freer because they have to manage fewer events. This for you means: more attention to the details of your wedding. You can take advantage of the Christmas decorations on the street or in the location itself: they will make the wedding photos even more suggestive. No matter the weather and temperatures (unpredictable in spring and autumn and often annoying in summer): whether it rains or snows all over the world! You and your guests will still be safe in a well-heated lounge.
Infinite possibilities open up for your honeymoon: many exotic destinations, in fact, experience their best season when it is winter with us. Some examples? December, January and February are the best months of the year to go to Antigua and Barbuda, as well as for a honeymoon in the sun of the Bahamas, Cuba or Jamaica; and if you didn’t think of going to the Tropics for your honeymoon, no problem: there are many other interesting areas around the world that are recommended during this period: Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Asia in general, New Zealand and Australia.
Finally, a winter wedding is, without a shadow of a doubt, much more original than a summer one.
But what should the spouses who choose this period wear? The winter bride is definitely a romantic bride whose dress is long and with a basically structured line; yes to dresses with a large volume, with long or three-quarter sleeves or alternatively if you want to be more daring, it is better to rely on a delicate transparent lace that covers the arms and shoulders with refined elegance. Yes also to large and soft coats, boleros, stoles or capes in ecological fur or wool. As for our groom, however, in the case of the classic suit, we remain on a color tone between dark gray and black: the cold season prefers more serious colors. As for the shirt, even for winter weddings in February, it is always better to opt for the classic cut, in light shades of cream or white. The winter bride’s bouquet will feature a seasonal flower; you can think of a total white bouquet with tulips and snowdrops, passing as an alternative to a Christmas-style bouquet with the inclusion of details such as pine cones and berries, which we find in different colors. For the more classic, the simple bouquet with white or red roses. If we think about what could be the leitmotif of this wedding we can play with different colors that are particularly suitable for the winter season: from cold shades such as white (symbol of purity), blue and indigo, to an optical white in contrast with a strong such as midnight blue, or warm colors such as green, red, purple and gold, particularly suitable for the Christmas period.
And how could the other elements be organized? Let’s see them together!
We can think of a rustic style that recalls the mountain element that characterizes the winter season or a vintage style for the more classic ones, or details and decorations such as snowflakes or sprigs of berries that recall Christmas. As wedding favors we can think of succulent plants, jars of artisan honey, or transparent glass bottles with liqueur, but also of handmade macarons packages, or personalized champagne bottles! Let’s now pass to the sugared almond with glass vases of different sizes, mirrors, plays of lights and candles, floral compositions and in the Christmas period complete the setting with details such as pine twigs, berries and pine cones. For the sugared almonds we can choose different flavors in total white shades or in different shades of color such as ivory, purple, green, brown that recall Christmas. Also for the mise en place we can find different alternatives: from the classic to the vintage one with glasses and placemats in worked glass, highly sought after and especially suitable for the Christmas period. As for the tablecloths, I propose a shade of ivory color. As an idea for the centerpieces you can create games with mirrors, candles, candelabra, or alternatively also combine small vases of different sizes always in vintage style with floral compositions. During the Christmas period you can also create centerpieces, or place cards, where wood is the protagonist. The other rooms or any outdoor park can also be set up with choreographies of candles, lanterns and plays of lights, taking advantage of the fewer hours of light, to have a very suggestive effect. And we end with another queen of this day: the Wedding cake, preferably on several floors, in total White, decorated with a velvet ribbon in a strong shade, which recalls the chosen fil rouge, or enriched with details such as pine cones, berries, wild strawberries. Finally, we can make our cake cutting truly unforgettable by thinking about an installation in the eventual outdoor park, with scenographic effects such as fireworks, candles and lanterns and for the most romantic ones some snowflakes as the perfect setting for this moment.
