Alessia Buongiorno a tutti e ben arrivata primavera!!! Come state? Ho una grandiosa novità da dirvi( sempre se non l’avete letta nei miei social), abbiamo scelto il nome del nostro atelier: NBD Nothing but a dream, che letteralmente significa: nient’altro che un sogno. Perché questo nome? Perchè il nostro compito è quello di creare il vostro abito dei sogni.
Mi è stato chiesto: come dire agli invitati come vestirsi?
La risposta è molto semplice, va indicato nelle partecipazioni di nozze, se avete scelto un dress code, che sia formale o che segua una tematica scelta dai festeggiati, seguendo le giuste regole.
Le partecipazioni di matrimonio non sono soltanto degli inviti con i quali convocare le persone più care a prendere parte alle proprie nozze. Devono anche essere uno strumento attraverso il quale i futuri sposi forniscono agli invitati tutte le informazioni necessarie per partecipare adeguatamente alla cerimonia e al ricevimento che si sta organizzando.
In caso la coppia stabilisca un dress code ben preciso per il loro grande giorno, che sia formale o divertente, lo si dovrà esplicitare anch’esso attraverso le partecipazioni, utilizzando un linguaggio ben specifico e collocando l’informazione nel giusto spazio dell’invito.
Ogni dress code, soprattutto se formale, ha una sua dicitura universalmente traducibile in maniera univoca. I futuri sposi, dovranno quindi essere ben precisi nell’indicare il tipo di abbigliamento richiesto per i propri invitati.
Cravatta nera: può essere segnalato anche con la dicitura in inglese black tie. Significa che agli uomini è richiesto di indossare lo smoking o un abito scuro. Solitamente, proprio perché lo smoking lo si indossa solo da dopo il tramonto, è un’indicazione presente solo nei ricevimenti serali. Per le donne è richiesto l’abito da cocktail e sono vietatissimi i pantaloni.
Cravatta bianca: anche in questo caso può essere segnalato in inglese con il termine white tie. Il tipo di abbigliamento richiesto per gli uomini questa volta, è il frac, o un abito, allo stesso modo, estremamente formale. Per le donne, è richiesto invece l’abito lungo.
Black tie facoltativo: significa che lo smoking non è obbligatorio, ma un abito scuro è invece obbligatorio.
CVV: non è sempre usato, ma serve a dare un’indicazione di dress code informale ai propri invitati. CVV infatti sta per Come Volete Voi, ovvero, non c’è una linea di abbigliamento da seguire obbligatoriamente.
Dove va messa l’indicazione per il dress code?
Se invece di un tipo di abbigliamento, il dress code richiesto riguarda invece l’utilizzo di uno specifico colore o un eventuale tema o si tratta invece di una festa in maschera, sarà ugualmente importante anche in questo caso specificarlo chiaramente, per evitare fraintendimenti che mandino gli invitati fuori strada dal fil rouge del ricevimento. Negli inviti di matrimonio, la tipologia dress code ha un posto ben specifico dove essere inserito: per questo ci viene in aiuto il galateo, che specifica che l’abbigliamento richiesto per l’evento va riportato in basso a sinistra.

I was asked: how to tell the guests how to dress? The answer is very simple, it must be indicated in the wedding invitations, if you have chosen a dress code, whether it is formal or following a theme chosen by the celebrated, following the right rules.
Wedding announcements are not just invitations with which to summon your loved ones to take part in their wedding. They must also be a tool through which the future spouses provide the guests with all the information necessary to properly participate in the ceremony and reception that is being organized. If the couple establishes a very specific dress code for their big day, whether it is formal or fun, it must also be made explicit through the participations, using a very specific language and placing the information in the right space of the invitation. Each dress code, especially if formal, has its own universally translatable wording. The future spouses must therefore be very specific in indicating the type of clothing required for their guests.
Black tie: it can also be indicated with the English wording black tie. It means that men are required to wear a tuxedo or a dark suit. Usually, precisely because the tuxedo is worn only after sunset, it is an indication that is only present in evening receptions. For women, a cocktail dress is required and trousers are strictly prohibited.
White tie: also in this case it can be indicated in English with the term white tie. The type of clothing required for men this time is the tailcoat, or a suit, similarly, extremely formal. For women, a long dress is required instead.
Black tie optional: it means that the tuxedo is not mandatory, but a dark suit is mandatory instead.
CVV: it is not always used, but it serves to give an indication of an informal dress code to your guests. In fact, CVV stands for As You Want, that is, there is no clothing line that you must necessarily follow.
Where should the indication for the dress code be placed?
If instead of a type of clothing, the required dress code instead concerns the use of a specific color or a possible theme or it is instead a masquerade party, it will be equally important in this case to specify it clearly, to avoid misunderstandings that send the guests out of the way from the fil rouge of the reception. In wedding invitations, the dress code typology has a very specific place to be inserted: this is why etiquette helps us, which specifies that the clothing required for the event should be shown at the bottom left.
