Alessia Buongiorno a tutti e buon lunedì! Come state? Come vi avevo promesso l’altra volta, oggi vi parlo del significato che i colori trasmettono.
Il significato dei colori a livello psicologico è inerente al campo delle emozioni, delle esperienze personali e passate. È un linguaggio che cerca di evocare in noi sensazioni di un determinato tipo.
I colori in psicologia hanno sempre avuto un forte valore simbolico, che dipende in parte dalle sensazioni psichiche immediate, ma anche dal nostro vissuto e dal nostro carattere.
La psicologia dei colori nasce perché i colori possono stimolare la mente umana provocando delle emozioni
particolari. Ogni colore ha infatti il suo significato e la sua connessione precisa con una parte del cervello
che determina emozioni o stati d’animo specifici.
Il blu:
E’ il colore che più rappresenta la pace e la tranquillità.
Nonostante sia un colore freddo, a livello psicologico è associato alla spiritualità e sensibilità.
•Spiritualità: in molte culture, soprattutto quelle orientali, il blu è la tonalità che richiama a tutto il mondo delle
divinità, con l’accezione di sacro e puro. Ad esempio nel Cristianesimo, ogni immagine di Maria Vergine vede un
elemento blu, che è spesso il velo che le copre le spalle o la veste. Da questo deriva quella particolare tonalità
detta “blu madonna”.
•Magia: non per l’azzurro, ma soprattutto nelle sue tonalità più scure, il blu assume spesso il significato di un
colore magico, che richiama riti e leggende intriganti e misteriose. Compare nelle rappresentazioni di oggetti e
personaggi magici, diventando il colore che collega il mondo umano con quello divino, ultraterreno.
•Nobiltà: infine, detti come “avere il sangue blu” risalgono a quando questo colore era ufficialmente il simbolo
dell’aristocrazia e della nobiltà. Tutto ciò perché per secoli è stato difficile tingere gli abiti di blu, privilegio riservato solo ai nobili.
Il rosso:
E’ il colore dell’energia, della forza e dell’attività nervosa e vitale. Si nota un ampio utilizzo del rosso attraverso la luce per stimolare la circolazione.
•Passione, amore fisico: da sempre, il rosso è simbolo dell’eros, inteso come amore carnale e passionale. Il
rosso è anche l’amore puro e romantico, fatto di connessione tra cuore e mente.
•Rabbia e vergogna: assume anche il significato di rabbia, collera e ira, che si spiega anche per la
manifestazione sul volto di chi prova tali emozioni.
•Potere e lusso: per tutto il corso della storia e nelle varie culture, il rosso è stato il colore del vestiario di re,
nobili e religiosi. Ciò ha fatto sì che divenisse simbolo di lusso, presa di potere e persino di lotta.
•Fuoco: dei quattro elementi naturali. E’ diventato emblema della trasformazione continua, della fonte di
vita.
•Sangue: proprio perché si tratta del colore del sangue, il rosso ha assunto anche il significato di linfa vitale,
energia e carica, oltre a quello di autentica fonte di vita.
•Pericolo: data la sua capacità di attirare l’attenzione, il rosso viene utilizzato nei vari segnali che indicano la
presenza di un pericolo.
Il giallo:
Se utilizzato a scopo terapeutico per il corpo, ha la capacità di regolarizzare la frequenza cardiaca e di equilibrare la pressione arteriosa. Sulla mente, invece, il giallo infonde sicurezza ed energia.
•Luce: come primo significato, sicuramente il giallo rappresenta la luce. Lo stesso Goethe diceva: «il giallo è il
colore più prossimo alla luce». Per questo motivo, esso è diventato la tonalità che indica il sole, i suoi raggi e
persino il suo calore. Indica il buonumore e la spensieratezza
•Saggezza: tale connotazione deriva dalle culture orientali, in particolar modo quella del Buddhismo. Infatti, il
giallo, era associato a tutte le fasi positive dell’esistenza umana e le sue qualità principali, quali la nascita e la
socievolezza.
•Ricchezza: l’oro viene considerato come una sfumatura del giallo e tutto ciò ha portato questo colore a essere
anche il simbolo della ricchezza.
•Attenzione: se il rosso è più precisamente il colore utilizzato nelle segnaletiche indicanti il pericolo, il giallo è
quello che, invece, richiama l’attenzione su una determinata situazione che potrebbe diventare pericolosa. Per
esempio, nella segnaletica stradale temporanea o nei semafori nel passaggio dal verde al rosso.
Il colore Verde simboleggia la perseveranza e la conoscenza superiore.
Questo colore emana senso di equilibrio, compassione e armonia. Trasmette amore per tutto ciò che riguarda il regno naturale favorendo il giusto contatto con le leggi della natura. Oltre ad avere un effetto calmante, questo colore infonde senso di giustizia e grandezza d’animo. Conferisce, inoltre, tenacia e perseveranza nel seguire i propri progetti. Di contro, il Verde crea una sorta di resistenza ai cambiamenti.
È il colore dell’io, della speranza, della vitalità. Verde è il colore della natura, del mondo vegetale, della fertilità e abbondanza. Il colore Verde inoltre, rappresenta l’energia accumulata non esternata portando, sovente, ad un eccessivo autocontrollo e bisogno di dominare sia le persone che gli eventi.
Il nero rappresenta l’assenza del Tutto, quell’assenza da cui è possibile veder riemergere qualsiasi cosa. Se a un primo sguardo, questo colore ci parla di negazione della realtà e rifiuto verso ciò che c’è attorno, dall’altra rappresenta il punto di partenza per ripartire.
È il contrario assoluto del colore bianco che rappresenta la luce. Viene considerato come simbolo di chiusura, di
fine, oltre il quale non c’è più nulla: Non sempre la chiusura però ha una valenza negativa anzi, rappresenta il
punto di non ritorno ma anche l’apertura verso qualcosa di nuovo e inesplorato.
Da sempre rappresenta un colore sacro per i popoli pagani perché dall’assenza di luce, dal vuoto assoluto si
genera il Tutto. Dal punto di vista percettivo suggerisce solidità e massa e l’oscurità suggerisce uno spazio infinito. È spesso usato in coppia con il bianco, in un dualismo bene-male, giorno-notte, nascita-morte.
Il bianco è luminosità assoluta. Nella vita e nell’esperienza umana, è usato per sostenere e segnalare diversi passaggi.
Bianco è il colore dell’assoluto e di tutto quanto viene considerato indice di miglioramento o perfezione, purezza,
innocenza, verginità, pulizia, trasparenza e chiarezza. Incarna il senso del compiuto e della perfezione.
Il colore Bianco comprende tutti i colori dello spettro luminoso e come significato sta agli antipodi del
colore Nero: infatti simboleggia il confine che segna l’inizio della fase vitale.
Esprime speranza per il futuro, fiducia nel prossimo e nel mondo in genere.
Rappresenta lo stato di purezza, i nobili sentimenti e la voglia di cambiamento.
Tutti coloro che amano questo colore rivelano una spiccata tendenza al fatalismo, ma al contempo esprime la
loro creatività e immaginazione. Chi preferisce il Bianco ha il continuo desiderio di cambiamento e viene
stimolato dalle novità che la vita gli presenta.
Il viola purifica i pensieri, favorisce l’ispirazione, sviluppa i talenti e la creatività.
Il colore usato negli abiti talari. Nascendo dalla mescolanza di rosso (amore) e blu (saggezza) è il colore della metamorfosi, della transizione, del mistero e della magia. E’ il colore della spiritualità ma anche della fascinazione erotica, indica l’unione degli opposti, la suggestionabilità. Il viola rappresenta spesso ricchezza e giustizia.
Il viola rappresenta la transizione tra la vita e l’immortalità. E’ la spiritualità velata da una sfumatura di tristezza o di malinconia, che implica il ricordo delle cose terrene.
Stimola i pensieri e l’intelletto, calma i disturbi mentali e nervosi quando prevale irritazione ed eccitabilità.

The meaning of colors on a psychological level is inherent in the field of emotions, personal and past experiences. It is a language that tries to evoke sensations of a certain type in us. Colors in psychology have always had a strong symbolic value, which partly depends on immediate psychic sensations, but also on our experience and our character. The psychology of colors was born because colors can stimulate the human mind by causing emotions details. In fact, each color has its own meaning and its precise connection with a part of the brain which determines specific emotions or moods.
The blue: It is the color that most represents peace and tranquility. Despite being a cold color, on a psychological level it is associated with spirituality and sensitivity. • Spirituality: in many cultures, especially oriental ones, blue is the shade that recalls the whole world of divinity, with the meaning of sacred and pure. For example in Christianity, every image of the Virgin Mary sees a blue element, which is often the veil that covers her shoulders or her dress. From this comes that particular shade called “blue madonna”. • Magic: not for blue, but especially in its darker shades, blue often takes on the meaning of a magical color, which recalls intriguing and mysterious rites and legends. Appears in object representations and magical characters, becoming the color that connects the human world with the divine, otherworldly one. • Nobility: finally, sayings such as “having blue blood” date back to when this color was officially the symbol aristocracy and nobility. All this because for centuries it has been difficult to dye clothes blue, a privilege reserved only for nobles.
The Red: It is the color of energy, strength and nervous and vital activity. There is a large use of red through light to stimulate circulation. • Passion, physical love: red has always been a symbol of eros, understood as carnal and passionate love. The yellow: When used for therapeutic purposes for the body, it has the ability to regulate heart rate and balance blood pressure. On the mind, on the other hand, yellow infuses security and energy. • Light: as a first meaning, yellow certainly represents light. Goethe himself said: «yellow is the color closest to light ». For this reason, it has become the hue that indicates the sun, its rays and even its warmth. Indicates good humor and lightheartedness • Wisdom: this connotation derives from oriental cultures, especially that of Buddhism. In fact, the yellow, was associated with all the positive phases of human existence and its main qualities, such as birth and sociability. • Wealth: Gold is considered to be a shade of yellow and all this has led to this color being also the symbol of wealth. • Attention: if red is more precisely the color used in the signs indicating the danger, yellow is the one that, on the other hand, draws attention to a specific situation that could become dangerous. Green color symbolizes perseverance and superior knowledge. This color exudes a sense of balance, compassion and harmony. It conveys love for everything related to the natural kingdom by promoting the right contact with the laws of nature. In addition to having a calming effect, this color instills a sense of justice and greatness of mind. It also confers tenacity and perseverance in following one’s projects. On the other hand, Green creates a kind of resistance to change. It is the color of the self, of hope, of vitality. Green is the color of nature, of the plant world, of fertility and abundance. Furthermore, the color Green represents the accumulated energy that is not externalized, often leading to excessive self-control and the need to dominate both people and events.
Black represents the absence of the Whole, that absence from which it is possible to see anything re-emerge. If at first glance, this color speaks to us of the denial of reality and rejection of what is around, on the other hand it represents the starting point for starting over. It is the absolute opposite of the white color that represents light. It is considered as a closing symbol, of end, beyond which there is nothing left: However, closure does not always have a negative value, on the contrary, it represents the point of no return but also the opening towards something new and unexplored. It has always represented a sacred color for pagan peoples because from the absence of light, from the absolute emptiness it does generates the Whole. From a perceptive point of view it suggests solidity and mass and darkness suggests an infinite space. It is often used in conjunction with white, in a duality of good-evil, day-night, birth-death.
White is absolute brightness. In human life and experience, it is used to support and signal various passages. White is the color of the absolute and of everything considered an indication of improvement or perfection, purity, innocence, virginity, cleanliness, transparency and clarity. It embodies the sense of accomplishment and perfection. The white color includes all the colors of the light spectrum and as a meaning it stands at the antipodes of Black color: in fact it symbolizes the border that marks the beginning of the vital phase. It expresses hope for the future, trust in others and in the world in general. It represents the state of purity, noble feelings and the desire for change. All those who love this color reveal a strong tendency to fatalism, but at the same time it expresses the their creativity and imagination. Those who prefer White have the constant desire for change and they come stimulated by the novelties that life presents to him.
Purple purifies thoughts, promotes inspiration, develops talents and creativity. The color used in the cassocks. Born from the mixture of red (love) and blue (wisdom) it is the color of metamorphosis, transition, mystery and magic. It is the color of spirituality but also of erotic fascination, indicating the union of opposites, suggestibility. Purple often represents wealth and justice. Purple represents the transition between life and immortality. It is spirituality veiled by a shade of sadness or melancholy, which implies the memory of earthly things. It stimulates thoughts and the intellect, calms mental and nervous disorders when irritation and excitability prevails.
